Installation and setup instructions for the OrderStorm WordPress e-commerce plugin are now available on the website in the User Manual.   The plugin is simple to install and set up.  It installs like any other plugin from the management dashboard.  It has several features that I should explain.

1. The Category page.  You must create a Category page to hold the category short code You can name the page anything you want ex. Training DVDs.  This page will display all of your root categories.  Since the categories are a widget that you can put in any sidebar on any page you like, you don’t necessarily have to display the Category page itself if you don’t want to.  If you are using menus, don’t add the page to the active menu.

2.  The Product page.  You must also create a Product page to hold the product page short code.  Unlike the Category page, this page will be blank.  You will definitely want to make sure this page does not display.  You can, however, set SEO page titles, description, tags etc.

3.  The .css files for the plugin allow you to set the appearance of your WordPress
shopping cart any way that best displays your product or service.  While it comes in a
standard product display configuration, you can change how many products display in each row, how large the box is for each product, the background color for the box (including white), text colors, category and subcategory colors and fonts fonts, bullets etc.
